INL's Advanced Test Reactor team has launched into Phase 2 of the core internals changeout process. Early work in this phase of the reactor's sixth core overhaul includes removal of the main core components. ATR’s control gearboxes and control drums have been removed, and by the end of the month the neck shim housing "backbone" and reflector blocks will all be transferred into the storage canal.
