New GFS operational model run to me has some merit as a possible scenario and worth watching next 3 - 5 days. It brings tropical wave across Yucatan into Gulf and merges with low off Texas coast. As they consolidate, easy to see a tropical system take shape. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hurricane Center start raising the chance of development in their outlook for southern Gulf. This doesn't guarantee a storm develops. Just a scenario I believe has decent potential. I'll be watching trends into
