This is the world’s smallest owl species

Well, hello there gorgeous! Saw-whet Owls are the smallest owl species in our region. A lot of times when found, folks think they are babies because of their size. They do fit in the palm of your hand and average only about 100 grams at full size. But their attitude is on par of their bigger counterparts like Great Horned Owls. This girl had serious impact injuries from a vehicle strike. She was unable to use one eye for quite a long time, and the crash to the ground ruined her flight feathers.
