The box step is a fundamental component of the Waltz. Let’s break it down: Forward Half Box: Start with the right foot (for the leader) or left foot (for the follower). Take a step forward. Move to the side. Close your feet together. Backward Half Box: Begin with the left foot (leader) or right foot (follower). Step backward. Move to the side. Close your feet together.
