Mohammed Fahir Amaaz, 21, struck out after police were called to respond to an incident in Terminal 2 on 23 July 2024. As he resisted arrest, for an earlier assault on a member of the public, he landed a number of punches on two female officers before he was eventually felled by a Taser. PC Lydia Ward, who had her nose broken by Amaaz, told the court in a victim impact statement she had "never seen anyone so violent" and had "never been so scared". PC Ellie Cook, who Amaaz punched her a number of times, told the court she had been "broken" following the incident.
