An original melody from the traditional Acadian and Quebecois practice of turlutte (mouth reel or mouth music), this a cappella work imitates an instrumental reel or jig with voices only. Body percussion added a fun element to our performance of this piece for ‘Joy’ in 2022. This concert was led by MD Virginie Pacheco, who spent many years training and working as a musician and musical director in Canada.
