Build-a-Boat Stem Challenge - “Best Reactions”: 3rd, 4th, and 5th grader makers took on the foil boat challenge last week with a little twist. They were only provided 7x5in of foil and scissors. They could “buy” additional supplies from my “Boat Shop” with their $15 “STEM Bucks” budget. Items included 3in duct tape, styrofoam cups, coffee filters, pipe cleaners, craft sticks, rubber bands, and pipe cleaners. Their goal was to hold 35 pennies.
