Our itsy-bitsy spider, “Maman,” crawled to a new location! 🕷️ This 30-foot-tall sculpture by Louise Bourgeois has greeted visitors in the Crystal Bridges Courtyard since it arrived at the museum in 2014. Weighing nearly 12 tons, the sculpture was transported to our South Lawn last week in 18 different pieces, plus 20 marble eggs. Maman now lives where Luis Alfonso Jimenez’s “Vaquero” used to be. “Vaquero” has moved from the South Lawn for conservation and will be on view again in a new location
