🌙 Meet some of the Zoo’s most mysterious residents: our two aye-ayes, Bellatrix and Tonks! Native only to Madagascar, aye-ayes are the largest nocturnal primates and some of the rarest animals you’ll ever see. With their oversized ears and a special “tapper finger,” aye-ayes can hear insects crawling under tree bark, then chew through wood with rodent-like teeth to scoop them out. Here at the Zoo, we recreate this by hiding treats in cardboard, wood, and metal boxes for them to discover. 💡 Fun
