Reps. Scholten, James propose expansion of child care program that splits costs three ways
As child care costs continue to soar, two Michigan members of Congress are proposing a national expansion of a program piloted in the Great Lakes State.
Parents must bring their child or children to a licensed health care professional for a well-child examination. The provider will certify that the exam was completed. Once Med-QUEST receives the provider’s completed form, a $50 prepaid incentive card will be mailed to the parent within four to six weeks.

San Jose program helps women start child day care centers
An East San Jose nonprofit is providing economic mobility for residents, as well as affordable child care for the community. A child care program started by Grail Family Services has enabled 81% of participating women to earn their child care licenses to combat a dearth of facilities in East San Jose.
