President Donald Trump said the driver who was shot dead by an ICE officer in Minneapolis nearly killed him with her car. Here’s what the videos show.

A 37-year-old woman was fatally shot by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent in southeast Minneapolis Wednesday morning as officers were conducting a deportation raid in the city. The woman was named as Renee Nicole Good by her mother, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Darrel W. Stephens, former chief of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, also pointed to this moment as the baffling first step in a series of questionable actions that most police departments have discouraged for years. As a police chief, he prohibited officers from standing in front of cars in the early 1990s.

Ross, a 10-year law enforcement veteran, was injured in June during the chaotic attempted arrest of Roberto Carlos Muñoz, an undocumented immigrant from Guatemala with prior convictions for criminal sexual conduct, who drove off during a traffic stop in Bloomington, Minnesota.

"There was a time when we could take them at their word," Portland Mayor Keith Wilson, a Democrat, said of federal officials. "That time is long past."

Federal officials were quick to toss around terms like “domestic terrorism” or “violent rioters” to justify — or somehow even sanitize — her death.
