Rain chances return Monday
A cold front sweeps across the Western Carolinas today, triggering scattered showers and a few thunderstorms, but don’t expect much rain. The system moves through quickly, clearing by evening and opening the door to a much quieter pattern for most of the week.
We should be able to warm into the 80s this afternoon, the warmest day of the month so far. Thankfully the dew point will stay low on the muggy meter and the wind won’t be much of an issue either. SSW wind gusts will pick up into the 20-30 mph range later tonight after sunset.
