Cyclosporiasis, a nasty parasitic infection that causes bouts of “explosive” watery diarrhea, has sickened hundreds of people in Michigan and other parts of the United States.

A parasitic illness called Cyclospora has been reported in 17 states, including Texas.

According to the CDC, those infected may or may not experience symptoms, which usually cause watery diarrhea with “frequent and sometimes explosive” bowel movements.
