Drone video showing a large great white shark near some of Maine's most popular beaches has prompted police in one coastal town to issue a warning on Tuesday.

The Marine Resource Officer obtained drone footage depicting a 10 to 12 foot long great white shark near the southern end of Richmond Island.

The drone footage, captured by David Lancaster, shows the shark swimming just below the surface with its dorsal fin sticking out of the water.
